KU CUP
3V3 LEAGUE
The first-ever KU Cup — six weeks of small-sided soccer built for player development. Four weeks of league play, then a knockout Cup to crown a champion. Open to DTS Pro players only (ages 6–9).
Quick Facts
Small-sided soccer, big development
The KU Cup is a 3v3 league designed to grow players fast. Small-sided games mean far more touches — more passing, dribbling, shooting and decision-making for every child, every minute. It’s competitive too: we keep standings, run a knockout Cup, and crown a champion. This inaugural season is open to DTS Pro players only.
Two phases, one champion
Play a full round-robin league, then carry your seed into a single-elimination Cup week.
The League
- Round robin — every team plays all five others once (15 games).
- One 45-minute game per weeknight at 7:30 PM (two 20-min halves).
- Win = 3 points, Draw = 1, Loss = 0. Tiebreak: goal difference, then goals for, then head-to-head.
- Final league standings set the Cup seeds (1–6).
The KU Cup
- Single elimination — win or go home, every game a clean slate.
- Short 20-minute games, two per night (7:30 & 7:55 PM).
- Seeds 1 & 2 earn a bye straight to the semifinals.
- Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final, plus a 3rd-place match.
When your player plays
League games run Monday–Thursday at 7:30 PM. Fridays are open for practice or make-ups, and there’s no game on Thanksgiving.

Finals are Friday, December 4. No league games on Thanksgiving (Thu, Nov 26) or Black Friday (Fri, Nov 27). No team plays two nights in a row — the bracket is spaced so kids get rest between games.

The rules, simply
3v3 keeps everyone involved. Here’s what parents should expect at a game.
Three players on the field per team; rosters of 5–7 so everyone rotates in.
Every child plays a fair share. Unlimited substitutions, made on the fly.
League: two 20-minute halves with a short break. Cup: quick 20-minute games.
Only the goallines are out — the sidelines stay in play, so the ball keeps moving.
Intentional headers aren’t allowed — it’s an indirect free kick to the other team.
Keep it simple and attacking. Fouls are an indirect free kick; there are no penalties.
A medal for every player
Every child who plays takes home a medal — and the champions take home the Cup, on finals night, Friday, December 4.
Every participant receives a KU Cup medal — win or lose, everyone takes one home.
